Neem trees are attractive broad-leaved evergreens that can reach heights of 30 m and girths of 2.5 m. Their spreading branches form rounded crowns up to 20 m in diameter. Except in extreme drought, when the leaves may fall off, they remain in the leaf.
The medicinal properties of neem leaf have been described in detail. Immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory, antihyperglycemic, antiulcer, antimalarial, antifungal, antibacterial, antiviral, antioxidant, antimutagenic, and anticarcinogenic properties have been demonstrated for neem leaf and its constituents.
How to Use– Leprosy is treated with neem leaf. Insecticides are also made from neem.
How to store– When stored fresh in the refrigerator, neem leaves can last up to a week. They can also be frozen and kept for a few months.
Benefits– The neem leaf extract is used to treat lice and to reduce tooth plaque. Neem contains a chemical that may help lower blood sugar levels, heal digestive ulcers, prevent pregnancy, kill germs, and inhibit plaque in the mouth.

Recipe– To counteract the bitter taste, combine neem leaves with honey or drink neem leaves boiled in water on an empty stomach. If this does not work, soak the neem leaves in water for 5 minutes before grinding them into a paste.
